My main take-away is how much cultural differences there are. There are language and terminology differences, but also differences regarding government + marriage. Though I disagree with Rev Kulah on his perspective, I have a hunch that my disagreement with him has roots in coming to this topic from differing cultural perspectives.
So true! The cultural differences are huge and the difference in experiencing/categorizing "homosexuals" as deviant versus just seeing gay people as people who love differently than I do (from a straight Side A ally perspective) truly set the tone.
